Meanwhile, an unknown gunman has opened fire on a senior police officer from Kirkuk who currently lives in Sulaimani, severely injuring him. The incident took place on Saholaka Street, a popular area in Sulaimani where people gather to eat and drink tea. The officer’s name is Khalid Hassan Hussein.
Lastly, Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” has placed him in the Oscar history books. Peele was crowned the winner in the best original screenplay race at Sunday’s Academy Awards, making him the first black screenwriter to receive the honor.
