After meetings held with the concerned offices in the city of Erbil, Ministry of Interior issued a statement ordering the closure of the Gyms, Cinemas, pools, massage places, saunas and all Shisha offering places for the duration of 10 days for public health reasons and as a preventive measure against coronavirus.
Turkish Airlines suspends all its flights to Iraq. Turkish (Picassos) Airlines, announced that all flights to all Iraqi airports are suspended now. The Turkish Civil Aviation Authority informed the companies of the decision via E-Mail, noting that the suspension extends from 1 to 16 March, and includes both Iraq and Italy. It is reported that the suspension came out as an effort to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Iraq’s Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that five new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the capital Baghdad and Babil province. The Ministry explained that four of the victims have tested positive for the novel virus in Baghdad while the other one was in Babil province. The new cases bring the total number of people infected with the dangerous virus in Iraq to 13
