An earthquake hit Koya city, in Erbil province on Monday morning, said the General Directorate of Meteorology and Seismology.The quake was measured at 3.1 on Richter scale, occurring at 5:44 am, Erbil time.No reports of casualties or possible damages to the area are yet available.Earlier on Thursday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 struck the Iranian Kurdish province of Kurdistan, Iranian Mehr news agency said, explaining that it took place at 03:52 (Tehran Time), with its center in Shwesha.
The former president of Egypt Mohammed Morsi died soon after a court session on Monday.It said Morsi had firstly fainted during the court session, and he passed away afterwards.Morsi, 67, was imprisoned after his country’s military toppled him in 2013.Morsi was serving a 20-year prison sentence for a conviction arising from the killing of protesters during demonstrations in 2012 and a life sentence for espionage in a case related to the Gulf state of Qatar.
