While getting their first tattoo and listening to Tupac and Eminem, Diar and Zana (Mr. Zee) decided to introduce western dance music into the local scene. Diar, a photographer and Mr. Zee, a humanitarian mine action worker and part time bartender started the DJ Pro project.
Equipped with talents in photography, photo editing, videography, video editing, sound engineering, and a fun taste of music, the two started mixing it up alongside local bands in wedding parties in 2003. Influenced by different English singing artists and various music genres, DJ Pro have found their way into the clubbing scene through Electronic Dance Music (EDM).
Since 2006, Diar and Mr. Zee have had amazing journeys as resident DJs at The Edge, Mamounia Skybar, Erbil Speed Center, Aura Club, Palmyra, Black & White, Lagoon, and few others. DJ Pro met Noor in 2012 and The DJ Pro Mix Club was born with first episode aired on Jan 2013. The Mix Club aims to introduce the latest of Deep House, Electro House, Progressive House, Trance, and Trap tracks to Kurdistan.
