Andrew Bizley joined the Breakfast Club to discuss his new position as Consul General in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

He shared his hobbies, including serving, and expressed his appreciation for the mountains in Erbil. He also discussed the Chevening program by the UK Consulate and answered fan questions.

He previously served in Iraq as First Secretary Political-Military and Acting Political Counsellor in Baghdad (2019-2021). In London, he was a senior lawyer covering Europe and Human Rights from 2015, having joined the FCDO after holding various roles in the Department of Energy and Climate Change since 2008. The Consul General, as the senior UK official in a Consulate General, represents the UK government and is responsible for consular, visa, and trade activities in their region.
